                                                         The Challenger

AND HIS OPPONENT. HE IS THE CURRENT CLASS 2 SENATOR FROM MASSACHUSETTS....CALEBBBBBB STRONGGGGG!
                                                                The incumbent

Unfortunately record of this particular election have been lost to time. This is going to be a very short one. What was both men doing at the time of this election? Gorham famously purchased a bunch of land in upstate New York near the Genesee River in 1788. 2 years later, he and Oliver Phelps sold the land to Robert Morris. Morris eventually bought out Phelps and Gorham completely, also selling land in Massachusetts away.

Caleb Strong was instrumental in the Judiciary Act of 1789. What's that, you ask? You know the three branches of government? It was the act that passed those three branches into action. Noted Youtubers have been calling for years to neuter the nuts off the Supreme Court because they have absolute power to do what they want, well this act is what gave them that power. Even though Richard Henry Lee and Oliver Ellsworth were the primary drafters, Caleb Strong was also on the team. John Jay was named Chief Justice and William Cushing, John Rutledge, James Wilson, John Blair and James Iredell were the associates. Even today with Clarence Thomas and John Roberts running the show, the SCOTUS got its power with this act over 230 years ago.

With everyone busy with the upcoming presidential election, the 1792 Class 2 Senate election went under the radar. As mentioned earlier, the records have been lost to time apart from who won. So who did win? Let's find out.
                                                                Fight

The actual voting numbers have been lost to time but Caleb Strong won re-election. Unlike the Gubernatorial election held every year at this time, these elections were like the presidency, every four years. Also it was very hard to displace a Senator once he was already in the Seat. For now, Strong retains.
AND STILLLLLLLL CLASS 2 SENATOR...CALEB STRONG!
